So, Here insidesports brings you the current WWE champions from both WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown ahead of SummerSlam.
Here is the full list:
WWE RAW current title-holders:
– WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre after defeating Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 36. McIntyre is all set to defend his WWE championship against Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2020.
– Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks after defeating Asuka last month on RAW. Banks will defend her RAW Women’s championship against Asuka at SummerSlam 2020.
– United States Championship: Apollo Crews after defeating MVP two weeks ago on RAW. Apollo Crews will defend its United States Championship against MVP at SummerSlam 2020.
– Tag Team Championship: The Street Profits ( Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) after defeating Seth Rollins and Murphy at Raw. The Street Profits will defend their Tag Team Championships against the team of Andrade & Angel Garza at SummerSlam 2020.
WWE SMACKDOWN current title-holders:
– Universal Championship: Braun Strowman — won after defeating Goldberg at Wrestlemania 36. Braun Strowman will defend his Universal championship against Bray Wyatt at SummerSlam 2020.
– Women’s Championship: Bayley after defeating Bayley after defeating Charlotte Flair on SmackDown then successfully defended her championship twice against Nikki Cross. Bayley will defend her Smackdown Women’s championship against Asuka at SummerSlam 2020.
– Intercontinental Champion: AJ Styles after defeating Daniel Bryan in a qualification tournament for title. Styles successfully defended his Intercontinental championship against the likes of Drew Gulak, Matt Riddle, and Gran Metalik. However, AJ Styles will defend his Intercontinental championship against Jeff Hardy this week on Smackdown.
– Tag Team Champion: Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura after defeating The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods) at Extreme Rules. However, they do not have any current opponents for SummerSlam 2020
– Women’s Tag Team Champion: Sasha Banks & Bayley after defeating Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross on Smackdown. However, they will defend their Tag Team Championships at Payback just after a week of SummerSlam 2020.
