After a sickening conclusion of the ‘Eye for an Eye Match’, between Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio, WWE has given an update on the latter’s condition.
The Master of the 619 lost to Rollins in the match with the rules stating the match could only end if one man’s eye was extracted. Rollins emerged victoriously when he jammed the high-flyer’s eye into the corner of the ring steps. Mysterio then rolled around in pain while clutching his ‘eye’ in his hands.

WWE claimed that he was quickly rushed to the hospital and can maintain his vision in their official statement. “Mysterio was rushed to a local medical facility to be treated for a potential globe luxation. Medical experts were optimistic that if the optic nerve is not severed and there is not too much strain on the blood vessels and nerves that connect the eye to the rest of the head, there’s a chance Mysterio can maintain his vision”.
