In the latest o WWE Rumor Roundup, Smackdown has removed its lead writer Chris Dejoseph after a backstage incident with Vince McMahon which had left the chairman infuriated.
Dave Meltzer of wrestling observer had stated that although not everything is known, however, it is clear that disciplinary action was against DeJoseph after the backstage incident. He said: “Yeah, It was a disciplinary thing. I don’t know all the details but I do know that it was a disciplinary thing. He had just gotten a promotion very recently. Ed Koskey was the head writer of SmackDown, but his actual position was called a lead writer. Then they are both called lead writers then I guess you could they were co-lead writers and then something happened with Vince”.

However, as per a report by SEScoops, the WWE writer had made some inappropriate remarks which led to his ouster from the company. DeJoseph has previously been associated with pro wrestling companies such as Lucha Underground and MLW. He has also worked with WWE in the early 2000s during the Attitude Era.
On the prospect of DeJoseph joining AEW, Meltzer stated that he does not think it will happen.
