The first day of the three-day Yasar Dogu International wrestling was completed at Ba?c?lar Olympic Sports Hall in Turkey on Friday. Miglena Selishka of Bulgaria won the first gold medal of the tournament as she triumphed in 50kg category beating local hope Evin Demirhan of Turkey.
Nearly 250 athletes from around 20 countries are competing in the Yasar Dogu wrestling international organized in memory of the greatest wrestler from Turkey, the Olympic & World Champion Yasar Dogu. The first day was dominated by women wrestlers from Bulgaria, Hungary Czech Republic and host Turkey. On the day 1 3 women finals were played resulting in gold medals for Bulgaria, Hungary and Czech Republic.

Local hopes Selim Ya?ar and Haydar Yavuz, reached the final in Men’s division
In the men’s competition, Selim Yasar of Turkey reached final of 86kg. Ahmed Magamaev from Bulgaria and Heydar Yavuz Ilias Bekbulatov will have a face off in the 70kg category gold medal bout. The final bouts of Men’s 57, 65, 70, 86 and 97 kg categories will be played on Saturday.
On the other hand, the opening ceremony of the tournament was also organized on Friday and was attended by Istanbul Youth and Sports Provincial Director Cemil Binding, Yasar Dogu families and member of the Turkey Wrestling Federation
