Three Iranian wrestlers were banned by Iran Wrestling Federation after failing a doping test. Morteza Ghiyasi Chaka, Rasoul Garmsiri and Keyyan Rezaei were tested positive for a banned substance. The Anti-Doping Headquarters of Iran slapped a ban of six months and one year for Chaka and Garmsiri respectively. As for Rezaei, he has been given a ban of four years.

Earlier, Rani Rana from India had failed the dope test and has been handed a provisional suspension by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA). The Madhya Pradesh grappler returned positive for a banned substance (anabolic steroid) after being tested by NADA in February this year, the Times of India reported. She will now have to present her case before NADA’s Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel (ADDP) after the nationwide lockdown ends.
