After successfully hosting the IAAF World Championships last week, Doha, Qatar is ready to host the world’s first ever ANOC World beach games from October 12th to 16th. Along with 13 other sports, Beach Wrestling will be one of the main attraction of the inaugural edition of the World beach games.
The World Beach Games were created by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), which represents all 206 National Olympic Committees (NOC) recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Athletes from all of those NOCs were eligible to qualify.
WrestlingTV garners 6.5 mn unique viewers for World Championships
97 NOCs will be sending athletes to the World Beach Games and there are expected to be 1237 athletes participating. There will be 350 medals awarded.

BEACH WRESTLING @ World Beach Games
The Games will be spread out across four venues within Doha but Katara Beach will host the beach wrestling competitions. According to UWW and the organizing committee of the World Beach Games, wrestling events will be played over 4 categories each in both Men & Women.
For Men – 70KG / 80KG / 90KG / 90KG+
Women – 50kg / 60kg / 70kg / +70kg
Each country will be allowed 1 beach wrestler per event.
