WWE News: As COVID-19 cases continue to rise an anonymous WWE developmental talent has made a revelation on the company’s handling of the situation. The pro wrestling company has been severely hit by the pandemic with over two dozen positive cases getting reported in past one week including superstars like Renee Young and Kyla Braxton. Amid all this chaos, the anonymous talent has given a real picture of the situation, reported Forbes.
““Now that WWE has more talent and staffers starting to test positive, we’ve been informed by talent relations not to discuss our illness wit anyone besides those we may live with that may need to know [sic.],” read the anonymous statement.

“We are FORBIDDEN to tell anyone else nor can we come out publicly to make any statements. It was stressed that WWE will take care of any medical treatments, should we need them. In the same breath it was made clear the company would handle the PR and only those that needed to know about our condition would know as HIPPA laws would prevent them from making our names public [sic.]”
The above statements made it clear that new talents in WWE roster is indisputable and they can’t go against authorities since they’re looking for better assistance in career.
WWE has been facing criticism from fans for their questionable testing procedures. The anonymous letter even questioned WWE’s mask protocol claiming WWE Director Kevin Dunn banned talent from wearing masks.
“These individuals were required to participate in medical screenings prior to entering the closed set at our training facility, and were kept apart from in-ring performers and production personnel,” read WWE’s June 16 statement.
“Attendance was below 20% capacity and social distancing guidelines were adhered to with at least six feet between parties, thus face masks were not required,” the report added
Claims made in the anonymous letter paint a picture of confusion, disorganization and concern as WWE continues to face one mini-controversy after another amid keeping its doors open during a global pandemic.
