Wrestling News: Japan Wrestling Federation has decided to cancel the men’s freestyle training camp in the wake of rising in covid-19 cases in India. The camp was originally planned to begin from July 22 to 28 at the Ajinomoto Training Centre, but with cases rising, Japan has decided to postpone the camp to September.

“In order to give top priority to the safety and security of the athletes, we made a decision after considering the Strengthening Committee and the Medical Science Committee. A training camp was planned for each style in August, but this will also be cancelled and readjustment will be resumed in September,” Japan Wrestling Federation said.

Japan’s Women’s Wrestling and Greco Roman teams had started their training from the second and sixth of this month respectively.
