The world and Olympic champion Hassan Yazdani has his eyes set on repeat performance at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Yazdani, who has been nicknamed as “The Greatest” won the gold medals at Rio 2016 and the world championship in Nur-Sultan 2019. But along with preparing for the Tokyo 2020, the champion from Iran now a days has a new task at hand. Task to give some training tips to budding Chinese wrestlers.
The Chinese & Iranian wrestling teams are training together in a joint camp hosted by Iran Wrestling Federation. The two time world champ Yazdani has become the cynosure of all eyes at the camp for the Chinese wrestlers. He is often seen giving tips to the young wrestlers from China at the camp. Not only this, he is also leading some of the training sessions and even demonstrates his prowess on the mat to the visitors.

Unlike their women wrestling team, Chinese male counterparts are still to be force to reckon with in the international wrestling arena. Iran on the other hand is global power-house in the sport of wrestling. The wrestling federations for both the countries decided to organize this joint camp to prepare their wrestlers for the tougher challenges ahead.
Yazdani in September won his second world championship crown in 86kg weight category as India’s Deepak Punia pulled out of the final bout due to injury at Nur-Sultan.
